How will the BSR be populated?

Different communities (industrial sectors,
banking, healthcare, EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML…) have produced
concepts. Those concepts are to be put in a data warehouse in
order to be studied. Some of these concepts will be approved for
entry in the BSR, others will be linked with existing concepts in
the BSR, and others will stay in the data warehouse for
consultation purposes.
Agreement on new concepts or new bridges in the
BSR will be made by a working group of ISO TC154, working closely
with the different originator communities.
The coherence with existing concepts in the BSR
will be checked.
The process to make a new entry available in
the BSR will be as short as possible in line with user
requirements, by electronic means.
At this stage 2000
BSUs have been developed from
the main EDIFACT messages, and have been proposed for review,
with some of their links with banking, STEP, ANSI X12 registers.
